Overview

Over 50 years ago a manufacturing process was developed that led to the invention of light weight concrete. Its unique structure being 20% the weight of concrete, easily worked, incombustible, acoustically and thermally effective has ensured its acceptance in the construction industry.

Based on traditional construction methods Sto replaced small traditional bricks with a 600 x 200 x 75 mm solid brick system for fast and simple the installation. StoPoren Brick Veneer (AAC) provides a ventilated-cavity designed system, incorporating a 40 to 75 mm drainage cavity between the interior and exterior claddings. Combined with the Sto Render System of choice, the StoPoren Brick Veneer Facade System provides optimal protection and finish with warranty for your building investments.

StoPoren Brick Veneer

Design & Build with StoPoren Brick Veneer - Use of 600 x 200 x 75 mm StoPoren Bricks with reinforced lintels provide opportunities for designers to offer clients durable, solid substrates that are incombustible, sound absorbing and thermally stable. The materials are easily cut allowing the designer freedom to create clean straight lines.

The StoPoren Bricks are fixed with brick ties to form a 40 to 75 mm drainage cavity, allowing for a dry zone between the interior and exterior claddings.

StoPoren Armat Render System

A BRANZ appraised high performance system to provide exceptional crack resistance and weather protection. A stay dry sealer for AAC materials is applied to the StoPoren Brick Veneer plus a render base coat. UPVC flashings lock into the junctions and joinery providing a neat junction ready for a weathertight sealant. The cement free StoArmat, combined with a glass fibre mesh, provides up to 6 times more crack resistance than standard cement based reinforcement. Finished with perfectly interlocking components: Stolit fibre reinforced coloured finishing render plus StoColor or StoClear; creating a 4mm weather tight reinforcement system for reliability and protection that surpasses the facade durability requirements.

Installation is carried out by a Sto Registered Contractor (Licensed Building Practitioner) and comes with the added protection of a StoArmat 15 or 20 Year Warranty with StoService Assurance, to deliver long-term performance.

StoPoren Render System

The StoPoren Render System is a BRANZ appraised, high performance, cost-effective system. Reinforced with a mineral-based render, glass fibre mesh and UPVC flashings for junctions and joinery. Finished with perfectly interlocking components: Stolit fibre reinforced coloured finishing render plus StoColor or StoClear; creating a weather tight reinforcement system enhancing reliability and protection.

Installation is carried out by a Sto Registered Contractor (Licensed Building Practitioner) and comes with the added protection of a Sto 15 Year Warranty with StoService Assurance, to deliver long-term performance.

Stolit: Coloured Finishing Renders

Stolit organic finishing renders are manufactured in Germany incorporating the latest technology; certified globally and successfully applied to rendered substrates in every climatic zone for over 50 years.

The Stolit range provides the perfect combination of properties: durable, strong, hard-wearing, impact-resistant, malleable, weather-resistant, colour-stable and highly resistant to microorganisms. In addition, its vapour permeability allows your building to breathe while still repelling water.

Facade Coatings

StoColor facade paints and StoClear sealers are a range of a serviceable coatings embodying intelligent technology for a range of surface functions to compliment the architectural structure and design. The StoColor System with 1000 shades, AC Architectural Colors, or matched to any colour using the Sto Spectrometer, provides a clear framework and systematic approach to colour based on integrated layers, combining texture and colour for aesthetic appeal.
