A Roller Mills Clash
Sto was proud to support the Bay of Plenty team in the 2017 Northern Roller Mills Rugby Tournament, which recently kicked off in October. For under 13-year-olds with weight restricted to under 57kg, It is the second oldest provincial rugby tournament in New Zealand behind the Ranfurly Shield and has been the starting point for many All Blacks over the years.
The Bay of Plenty Team, coached by Cliff Honey, Sto Sales Manager for the Central North Island, who has been involved with the tournaments for the past 8 years, lead the team with large winning margins through out the tournament and to the finals for their third consecutive year with a Roller Mills clash against Auckland at St Peters School, Cambridge.
The final score was 29-17 which went to a very strong Auckland side, in amongst near gale-force winds blowing diagonally down the pitch. Cliff was pleased to add "This was one of my best sides I have coached, with boys growing into young men who went out there today to do battle." Sto is also super proud of the Bay boys, a great game and tournament though out!
