A great result to Architecture Workshop, Homes Construction and all involved for winning the Gold Award 2015 in the Westpac New Homes over $2 million build / Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards in Wellington. Also as a winner for the Local NZIA Architectural awards in Wellington.

With a street presence that demands attention, this project has a beguiling simplicity that presents multiple complex experiences within each of its spaces. Apart from having various unique relationships to its context, several spaces have been endowed with their own specific characteristics in alignment with their purpose. This is a technically complex solution to an equally technically demanding site.

The render system chosen was StoArmat render over concrete block and Eterpan Ventclad. Finished in Stolit K 1.5 finishing render coated in Sto Color Maxicryl and X-black.

The Oriental Parade Bay House is also documented on the television series "The Art of the Architect". Season one, Episode Three.
